OxaPRO 15-2-8

OxaPRO is a pre-emergent herbicide containing the convenience of a starter fertiliser to promote vigorous plant establishment, plus oxadiazon, a market leading pre-emergent herbicide. It has a unique mode of action involving shoot absorption rather than root uptake. It destroys the new leaves of weed seedlings germinating in treated soil, without affecting the root system of the desirable turf. Oxadiazon has good soil residual activity and provides season long weed control while allowing the root system of turf to develop uninhibited. 

One application of OxaPRO provides the turf manager with a highly effective pre-emergent control of tough weeds. The unique activity of Oxadiazon means that it is the only herbicide that can be used prior to planting warm season grasses by sprigs or stolons. Effective weed control during the establishment phase will allow the surface to be in play quicker and eliminate the need for post-emergence sprays, which puts young turf under stress.

Application Timing, Special Instructions and Rates:  

• 3-4kg per 100m²
• OxaPRO is to be used on recreational turf, fairways, golf tees, municipal sports fields, industrial and commercial lawns. Do not use on greens or bowling greens. It is suitable for warm season turf grass species only.
• To control crowsfoot and summergrass use 300kg/ha (3kg/100m²). Apply from late winter to early spring (late August to early September), prior to germination of the weeds.
• To control wintergrass and creeping oxalis, use 400kg/ha (4kg/100m²). Apply prior to germination of the weeds (usually from late summer to mid autumn, February to May, and early spring August to October).
• OxaPRO promotes recovery of thin and damaged turf after renovation and can be used on high traffic areas, ie; fairways, tees, surrounds and sports fields.
