PRIMO® MAXX Turf Growth Regulator will promote greener, denser, more resilient turf with less growth, fewer clippings and therefore less expensive maintenance. PRIMO® MAXX is the trusted growth regulator that pre-conditions turf for stress and optimises surface quality and colour.

Can be used on the following Warm Season Turf Grasses:

  • Buffalo Grass, Common Couch, Couch hybrids and varieties, Kikuyu, Zoysia

Can be used on the following Cold Season Turf Grasses:

  • Bent Grass, Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass, Poa Annua mixed swards, Kentucky Bluegrass

Formulation/Analysis:

PRIMO® MAXX contains 120 g/L trinexapac-ethyl.

PRIMO® MAXX is a micro emulsion concentrate (ME) with minimal odour as the product does not contain petroleum solvents. PRIMO® MAXX mixes completely with water and may be tank mixed with many commonly used fungicides and liquid fertilisers.

Application Timing, Special Instructions and Rates:  

  • Leaf and Crown: 100 to 500 L/ha 
  • PRIMO® MAXX can be continuously and safely used for 12 months of the year, as long as active growth occurs. Tracking the growth rate of the turf with the rate of PRIMO® MAXX applied is essential to manage a consistent regulation effect for the entire application period. Example: The first application of spring onto a couch fairway should be at the low end of the PRIMO® MAXX rates suitable for couch (eg 0.8 L/ha starting the second week of September). As the season progresses and the turf growth accelerates, the PRIMO® MAXX rates can be increased accordingly (eg up to 1.6 L/ha during January).
